1. Anjak Saji Area

This area is place for society or guest to preparing themselves  before entrance to middle area of Puri to meet The King or the other Puri’s family.This area also used for held an entertainment or attraction. At this area there are building such as :

BALE PESANDEKAN (ANCAK SAJI)

Bale Pesandekan

This building used for society or guest to take rest a while and preparing themselves before entarnce to other area of Puri.

Bale Gong

This building used place of Balinese music instrument or in Bali we called Gong, and also for place playing that Gong while a ceremony or entertainment held.

2. Semanggen Area

Semanggen Area is first middle part of Puri. This area used for place to held Balinese ceremony.At this area there are building such as.

BALE SEMANGGEN 1

Bale Semanggen

Bale Semanggen is used as a place for corpse or in Balinese we called Layon. However, the corpsethat are celebrated in this building are only those of the King of Puri. In their daily life, this area is used as a place for art practice by the Puri family.

BALE MESANTI

Bale Pesantian

Bale Pesantian is used as a place for people to sing Balinese spiritual songs in Bali called Mesanti or Mekidung.

3. Rangki Area

Rangki is the second middle area of Puri after Semanggen, this area used as a meeting place and the area where the king’s wife lives when she is menstruating. At this area there are building such as :

Bale Pesamuan

This building used as a place for meetings between the Puri family and the society or visitors.

BALE BENGONG

Bale Bengong

This building used as a place for the Puri’s family or the visitors to take a rest awhile or to have a coffee break.

GEDONG LOJI DI RANGKI

Gedong Loji

This building used as the residence of the king’s wife when she is menstruating.Usually the king’s wife lives in the JeroGede area, but when she is menstruating then she is forbidden to be in the JeroGede area.

4. JeroGede

JeroGede is the main area of Puri. This area is a sacred area and also the area where the king lived with his wife and children. At this area there are building such as :

BALE JERO GEDE

Bale JeroGede

This building used as the residence of the King. In its development, this building also functioned as a place to receive royal guests or important guest. Bale JeroGede is one of the sacred buildings so that the royal family or visitors who are menstruating are prohibited from being in this building.

BALE AGUNG

Bale Agung

This building used as a place for held religious ceremonies such as Balinese wedding ceremonies, tooth-cutting ceremonies in Bali Called Mepandes or Metatah and also for a place to put the corpse of the royal family for ceremonies. When the King dies, his corpse will be placed in this building for a ceremony, after 1 week or 3 days before the main ceremony or in Bali it is called Pelebon, then the King’s corpse is brought and placed in the Semanggen area, precisely in Bale Semanggen.

LOJI DI JERO GEDE

Bale Loji

This building used as the bedroom of the King’s family, both the second wife or the King’s children.

BALE GEDONG KANGIN

Bale Gedong Kangin

This building used as the bedroom of the King’s first wife.However, when the king’s wife is menstruating, she is forbidden to live in this building, so she would live in the Rangki area. This building is one of the sacred buildings so that the royal family or visitors are prohibited from being in the area of this building when they are menstruating..
